Visitor Comments

The following comments were received from a diverse group of professionals invited to beta-test the SPECIEZnm web site during the weekend of July 14-16, 2006. Their occupations span urban wildlife biology, radio astronomy, NEPA planning, newspaper publishing, wildlife rehabilitation, conflict management and negotiation, epidemiology, and environmental consulting.

“I'm very impressed with the site. In doing my [internet] research, I go from site-to-site looking for what I want. There's lots of junk sites out there. Finally, you hit a site and realize, 'Now this is what I am looking for!' That's the feeling I got with your site. It just hits you as 'the mother of all sites' for NM species information. The professional appearance of the website galvanizes that feeling. Hopefully, most first-time browsers will bookmark it as a valuable resource. I did!”

“[Regarding the] available documents – the look is excellent – very clear; nice font. This is very useful info. Well done. I especially like the in-text citation suggestions on the [provided] legal documents.”

“It was a pleasure to review your web site. This is an exciting new product and I believe it will be an asset to many individuals and professional organizations.”

“I like the homepage blurb that immediately describes what you offer, what is free, what has a cost associated to it, etc. You don't know how frustrating it is to spend 30 minutes on a site looking for something, only to find out it is a cost-product (with no previous notice) or you have to belong to some sacred society to gain access. As a customer, you just want to know up-front what is free and what has a cost, and how much it costs. Your site does that excellently.”

“I believe your work through SPECIEZ.nm is important… your website shouts
'professional' and 'competent'.”
